Dear Love INC Family,

“When the angels went away from them into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let us go over to Bethlehem  and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has made known to us.” Luke 2:15

I recently learned that there were often children shepherds. The image of them in Bethlehem seeking the child the angels had spoken about changed in my mind. I imagine children, maybe pushing and shoving as they jockey for position to see the child. As the older ones gain their position the younger and smaller ones try to squeeze their way in to get a glimpse of what the angels told them they would find. I imagine the wiggling and pushing ceasing as they lay their eyes on the one.

I pray that each of us would be willing to push our way through to the one who was sent in the form of a babe wrapped in swaddling clothes and be willing to show, share, and tell others about him this Christmas.

The threshold of the stable is wide enough for all of us to see the one who was sent into the world.

Please pray the families we serve will come to see and know the love God has for them through a babe in a manger.
